mgCreateBiped WIP


After three to four weeks I done with torso, neck and arm part.

It was very tough for me writing, hence this one is my first attempt of such a big script.
but, later on was just fantastic becoming more interesting and interesting.

First time when I was designing my top down design (Its like a blue print for house, rough sketch of how interface gonna create and its functionality), I kept it simple structured. No extra things included . But, after a while I found my script is not so simple structured that I earlier decided.

TabLayout And FrameLayout


























Trying to create auto rig script.. made couple of layouts.. Personally, I like Layout1 but, I saw in mostly all the auto rig scripts UIs are having this layout so,
I made another layout.. Added TextScrollList for better view.

Later on Instead of using tabLayout, I decided to move with radio buttons which the same work what tabs does
Now, I started coading procedures, hope it will work out.

It will dynamically change the layout of corresponding selected item or parts in UI.

Integrated mgCreateBiped UI in Maya UI :




From long time I want to b settledown my standalone windows inside the Maya and works as a Panel. This is very helpfull soecailly for animator instead of minimizing window going verytime to channelBox or attribute editors do required changes and again come back to window.
This setup saves good time and ease to use.

Script Exercises

Hmm ....! Finally I got time to get involved in to the aw some "MEL"
getting help from Maya's docs and of course from Creative Crash (Highend 3d),
things are moving smoothly.. great..!

I took some of the lessons from Kevin's DVDs it is just "awsome" you can easily
learn MEL from his DVDs.

So as a exercise I did simple mel script ..

1. First one is"mg_selUI" it stroes loaded object

in the text scroll list.

2. Second one is "tEditor", it toogle your mesh,curves,joints etc..

Simple script just for exercise.

3. Another one is "mg_attrPlayerUI", it makes locking/unlocking or hiding/unhiding easier
all together and indivisual also.

4. Forth one is "mg_togleSmoothUI", it toggles poly smooth divisions available on selected object or in scene
